News and Conference Events

Don't forget to book your room at the Nugget--the conference is approaching soon!

If you do plan on renting a car while you are in town, consider booking through Enterprise and get the special Nevada System of Higher Education Rate (see link below).

SKIERS!  Did you know you can grab a shuttle right from the Nugget to head to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows?  The shuttle leaves Friday-Sunday at 7 am, and gets you to the mountain by 9 am!

Getting Here and Transportation

Getting to Reno is pretty easy: whether you are coming by trains, planes, or automobiles!

The Biggest Little City Welcomes You!

What do YOU know about Reno?

This is the FIRST time WSCA will be having a conference in Nevada, and we bet most folks know very little about Reno.  No, we are no where near Las Vegas (Nevada is a pretty big state), and no, its not just all dry desert here in Northern Nevada.  Although many think that Reno is just where you go to get a quickie divorce (did you see that episode of Mad Men, too?), we are actually an up and coming--and THRIVING--little city nestled in some beautiful mountains.  Even this report from the Atlantic agrees!

Meet Your Local Hosts!

The Faculty at the University of Nevada are happy to welcome you for the 2013 WCSA Convention!

Your Local Co-Hosts are Dr. Gwen Hullman (gwenh@unr[dot]edu) and Dr. Amy Pason (apason@unr[dot]edu).  We are happy to assist you with any questions you have about the upcoming conference!

We Love Reno!

Pictures really are worth 1000 words--especially when it comes to showing off the landscape in Reno!  Click on the link below to see a video by one of our local production companies to show all Reno has to offer.
